UofL BASEBALL | Cards drop final game at Ole Miss
02/28/2016 06:11 PM
Despite jumping out to a first inning 2-zip lead, the Louisville Cardinals were shut out the rest of the way at Ole Miss, with the Rebels rallying for the 4-2 victory. Mississippi wins the series, two games to one.
A five hit third inning, proved to be the key for the Rebels. Louisville Pitcher Drew Harrington was roughed up overall for eight hits in just 5.1 innings. He gets the loss, his first, while Mississippi starter Sean Johnson picks up the win.
With the loss, Louisville drops to 5-2 overall, and will probably fall from their number 2 ranking when the new polls come out. The Rebels improve to 6-1.
Louisville is back home Tuesday when the Cards host Princeton. The game starts at 3pm ET and is free and open to the public.
