UOFL BASEBALL | Bats Go Silent as UCSB Takes 1-0 Series Lead

The number 2 overall seed Louisville Cardinals have dug themselves an early hole as they dropped the opener of the best of three series agains UC Santa Barbara 4-2 Saturday at Jim Patterson Stadium.

Bendan McKay pitched 8 innings for The Cards giving up 4 runs and striking out 9 but it was the Louisville Bats that couldn’t get on track today as they left 5 runners on base.
This was the first loss of the Tournament for UofL.

Game 2 is set for tomorrow at noon at Jim Patterson Stadium. Taking the mound for Louisville will be lefty Drew Harrington who finished the regular season 12-3 with a 2.08 ERA. The game will be televised on the ESPN Network.
