UofL ATHLETICS | UofL Athletics Broadcast Center Opens

09/17/2018 03:17 PM

The University of Louisville Athletics Broadcast Center opened on Monday.

The 7,850 square foot television production facility will be used to house equipment and personnel that is necessary to originate live programming for the upcoming ACC Network.

Of course, the ACC and ESPN previously announced their partnership to launch the comprehensive linear and digital ACC Network in 2019. Until that launch though, UofL will continue to produce live programming for ESPN networks or ACC Network Extra.

UofL Director of Athletics Vince Tyra spoke during the opening ceremony on Monday about the new facility:

The price of the UofL Athletics Broadcast Center was $8 million, and included “construction, equipment and integration, and fiber connection to UofL venues.”

It is located at 1900 Arthur St.
