UofL BASKETBALL | Women's team releases non-conference schedule

The University of Louisville Women’s basketball released their full non-conference schedule Wednesday and it features a number of challenging matchups well before conference play rolls around. 10 teams featured on the schedule reached postseason play in the 2015-16 season, including nine that with at least 20 victories last season, and two teams that reached the NCAA Sweet 16.

U of L returns all five starters and three letterwinners from last year’s team that went 26-8.

  • Nov. 19 vs. Bowling Green
  • Nov. 20 vs. Lafayette
  • Nov. 21 vs. Chattanooga
  • Nov. 27 vs. South Carolina
  • Dec. 1 vs. Maryland
  • Dec. 4 vs. Kentucky
  • Dec. 11 vs. Western Kentucky
  • Dec. 14 vs. South Dakota State
  • Dec. 16 vs. Charleston
  • Dec. 18 vs. Evansville
  • Dec. 21 at Vanderbilt
  • Jan. 22 at South Florida

Louisville does not have to wait until November 11 to get some competition though. Head coach Jeff Walz has his team taking off for Cuba this Friday for games against the Cuban junior national team.
