The University of Missouri-Kansas City has released a statement regarding the findings of its own investigation of Andre McGee, former director of basketball operations at the University of Louisville.
The University of Missouri-Kansas City is aware of today’s announcement by the University of Louisville. Our university’s own internal investigation of Andre McGee, who resigned in October after a short stint as assistant coach, found no evidence of any NCAA rules violations at UMKC while Andre McGee was employed here. Due to additional ongoing investigations by both the NCAA and authorities in Kentucky, we will have no additional comment on this matter.
The statement was released just a few hours after UofL officials announced their decision to self-impose a ban on postseason play amid an NCAA investigation surrounding allegations of sexual misconduct within the UofL basketball program.
