Two more women join as plaintiffs in lawsuit against Katina Powell

Two more women have now joined the lawsuit against Katina Powell, the self-proclaimed Louisville escort and author of “Breaking Cardinal Rules.” This brings the plaintiff count against Powell to 11 in the lawsuit originally filed by Kyle Hornback , a student at the University of Louisville. Hornback claims the book devalues her degree and her ability to repay student loans.

The new plaintiffs are Olivia Carrico and Sade Simril. Carrico is a current student at UofL. Simril is pictured in the book and, according to George Shunnarah, the attorney representing the 11 plaintiffs filing the suit against Powell, “She was not involved in any dancing or prostitution,” and Powell and IBJ Publishing did not have consent to use her photo.
