Cleveland State transfer and all-conference guard Trey Lewis will play his final collegiate basketball season with the Cardinals.

Lewis averaged 16.3 points and made 96 three-pointers last season. He will enroll in graduate school at UofL after completing his degree at Cleveland State in May.

Lewis said he feels like Louisville is a place where he can flourish.

“I had a list of schools that I was considering, but Coach Pitino really expressed his want and need for me,” said Lewis in a press release. “He and the staff can really help me maximize my potential and I look forward to the development. There’s so much that I can learn.

Lewis joins Deng Adel, Donovan Mitchell and Raymond Spalding on the Cardinals’ roster for next season.
