The Spalding University men’s soccer team is moving on to the SLIAC Tournament championship game after beating Webster University 4-3 in the semifinal round on Thursday afternoon.

The Golden Eagles will host the final match of the tourney since they are the number one seed.

It was a fast start for Spalding on Thursday, taking a quick 3-0 lead in the first half. Spalding led 4-1 late in the match, but a pair of Webster goals kept the pressure on the home team.

Spalding is enjoying a historic season, finishing SLIAC play undefeated, and winning the regular season conference championship for the first time in program history.
