The University of Louisville has announced that freshman guard Shaqquan Aaron is eligible to play for the Cardinals when the team plays at Western Kentucky on December 20.
The 6’7” Seattle native must remain on the bench for two more games, including tonight’s game against Indiana and Sunday’s home game against UNC Wilmington. Aaron had to sit out the first nine games of the season while the NCAA process to approve his eligibility is completed. It was determined during certification for initial eligibility that his family received extra benefits related to housing.
The announcement comes less than three weeks before Louisville hosts Kentucky in a battle of the Bluegrass on December 27.
