Rick Pitino said Manhattan played the same style of game as the Cardinals, and the two teams battled it out for a full 37 minutes. Luke Hancock saved the day with two 3-pointers in the last 1:21 seconds to give No. 4 Louisville the 71-64 win over No. 13 Manhattan.

With Russ Smith and Montrezl Harrell in foul trouble for most of the second half, Manhattan took a three-point lead with 3:44 left in the game. Russ Smith banked a three to tie the game. The senior guard ended the game with 17 points and 3 assists. Hancock scored 8 points in 1:30 as the game winded down to give Cards control of the game.
