Russ Smith Continues to Give Back

Playing 82 regular season games plus the playoffs (if you’re lucky) in a season that spans eight months is a grind. Because the seasons take such a toll on their bodies and minds, many NBA players like to get away from basketball completely once the year concludes.
Former UofL and current Memphis Grizzlies guard Russ Smith is perfectly content to spend his off time close to the game he loves. After leading the Grizzlies to the Orlando Summer League Championship, Smith hosted a series of basketball camps in and around Louisville. This past weekend he took his love of the game Lexington; where he hosted a free, one-day camp at the Dunbar Community Center.
