Rick Pitino Talks About Next Season at the Cardinal Caravan

A sea of red along the Ohio River Tuesday night as the Cardinal Caravan makes a pit stop in Louisville. CN|2 Sports hit the event at Captain’s Quarters where coach Rick Pitino talked about what the national championship meant to him, and if it really had all sunk in.
Pitino is losing two of his best players to what they hope is a career in the NBA. The coach spoke about just how genuine Gorgui Dieng and Peyton Siva are off the court.
Pitino also acknowledged that his team had a really special year and the championship was for the fans who had been waiting since 1986 for another trophy.
After having a few weeks to reflect and relish in his national championship, Pitino says he is looking forward to the future and the chance at solidifying a dynasty at Louisville.
