Re-doing the image of the Cardinals
04/14/2015 07:30 AM
The College Basketball Season has been over for less than a month, and yet the Louisville Cardinals could look completely different next season. Gone are Montrezl Harrell and Terry Rozier (to the NBA), Wayne Blackshear (graduation) and Shaqquan Aaron and Anton Gill (transferring). Coming in as freshman are Forwards Donovan Mitchell, Deng Adel, and Ray Spalding, along with guard Ryan McMahon. All four had impressive moments in this past weekends Derby All-Star Classic.
Now Pitino is trying to add a second, 5th year senior. Former Cleveland State Guard Trey Lewis has already said he’s coming to the ‘Ville. Now Forward Damion Lee appears to be in play.
Lee was 5th in the NCAA in scoring, averaging better than 21 points a game, and hitting almost 40 per cent of his three point shots. Lee has narrowed his choices to five schools including Louisville, Maryland, Arizona, Gonzaga, and Marquette. Lee will be visiting the Cardinals this Sunday.
