Rally Beards will stay awhile longer for victorious Cardinals

Terry Rozier had 22 points, while Montrezl Harrell scored 18 points and pulled down 9 rebounds, as Louisville won at Miami 63-55. The victory is not only the Cards’s 4th in a row, it also means their lucky facial hair will stick around at least through Saturday’s game at number 3 Virginia. Miami has now dropped three straight.

UofL never trailed in this game, leading by double digits in the first half. However several times in the second half Miami cut the lead to a single possession behind the red hot shooting of Davon Reed. Off the bench, the guard put in 19, hitting 5 of his 6 three-pointers. However the Hurricanes could never grab the lead thanks to the hot shooting of Rozier, the 16 points, 8 rebounds and 6 steals of senior guard Chris Jones, and the gutty performance of Harrell. Twice the junior forward crashed to the floor hard, but other than spending 1 minute in the dressing room, Harrell played the whole game.

With the win, the Cards improve to 19-3 overall, 7-2 in the ACC, while the Canes drop to 14-8, 45 in the league. The Cards next contest, against the Cavaliers, tips off at 7pm ET and can be seen on ESPN.
