Speaking from their family home in Louisville’s West End Saturday, Muhammad Ali’s brother, Rahman, remembered their humble beginnings. He said no matter how famous his brother became, he always remained humble.
Rahman Ali says he is honored but not surprised at the outpouring of support. He said it just makes sense that people would want to express their sympathy because Ali was the most famous person in the world.
A private ceremony will be held in Louisville Thursday. Then Friday, there will be a public funeral procession for Muhammad Ali at 2pm. The scheduled speakers are President Bill Clinton, Comedian Billy Crystal and Journalist Bryant Gumbel. Ali’s family spokesman said the details of Ali’s funeral were decided years ago by Ali himself.
