The front seven of the UofL defense is possibly the strongest position on Bobby Petrino’s football team. But you won’t hear them boasting about it. Pio Vatuvei and DeAngelo Brown have only one thing in mind, and that is getting better each day.

Vatuvei and Brown were both staples of the Cardinals defense last season. Pio started nine games last year and totaled 18 tackles (4.5 tackles for loss). Brown saw action in 13 games in 2014 and racked up 20 tackles on the season, a career high seven of which came in the cards win over Boston College.
