The 2002 KHSAA 4A Football State Championship game is the highest scoring state title game in Kentucky history.

Male and Trinity combined for 115 points and more than 1,300 yards of total offense.

Trinity came out on top, beating Male 59-56 in front of more than 20,000 fans at Fairgrounds Cardinal Stadium. It was the last football game played in the stadium and is one that will be talked about for years to come.
