Long track speedskater Erin Jackson is getting ready for her first-career Olympic Winter Games.

The Ocala, Fl. native qualified for a spot on Team USA during the 2018 U.S. Olympic Team Trials.

In addition to qualifying for the 2018 Olympic Winter Games, Bridgestone Americas Inc. recently announced its support for Jackson.

Jackson has only been competing in long track speedskating for a short time, as she has spent most of her career competing in inline skating, winning 47 national championships and 11 world championship medals during her 15-year inline career.

Jackson joined Spectrum News’ Andrew Chernoff on Sports Night Monday to preview the upcoming Winter Games:

The 2018 Olympic Winter Games begin on Feb. 9 in Pyeongchang, South Korea and last through Feb. 25.

Jackson will participate in the women’s 500 meter event on Feb. 18.
