NKU WOMEN'S BASKETBALL | Camryn Whitaker Hoping to Lead Norse to Success

12/19/2016 09:10 PM

The 2016-2017 season is the first for Camryn Whitaker as head coach of the Northern Kentucky women’s basketball team.

“It means the world to me because I grew up coming to Northern Kentucky for everything,” said Whitaker.

Whitaker says one of the toughest parts about taking over a program is getting the players to “buy in.” So far though, the players have responded well.

“She brings a lot of excitement and energy,” said NKU forward Rebecca Lyttle.

Whitaker came to NKU after spending one season on the Kentucky women’s basketball staff.
