The NKU men’s basketball team accomplished many things this season, highlighted by a berth in the NCAA Tournament.

The magical run ended early Saturday morning to the Kentucky Wildcats.

The #15-seeded Norse fell to the #2-seeded Wildcats 79 to 70 inside Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

The loss snapped a NKU six-game winning streak.

Lavone Holland II led the way for NKU with 22 points.

Carson Williams added 21 points for the Norse.

Kentucky meanwhile advances to the NCAA Tournament’s second round, where it will face #10-seeded Wichita St. on Sunday afternoon. Tip-off is set for approximately 2:40 p.m. ET.
