NFL drops the hammer on Tom Brady and Patriots

The National Football League has decided Deflategate is a very big deal indeed. Starting quarterback Tom Brady, of the defending Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots, has been suspended without pay for the first four games of the regular season. In addition, the Patriots have been fined 1 Million Dollars and will be forced to forfeit a first round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft and a 4th round selection in 2017.
The League said the discipline was for conduct “detrimental to the integrity of the NFL.” Last week attorney Ted Wells released a report that said it is more than probable that Brady was aware of what was going on. Brady will be allowed to go through training camp and play in pre-season games.
Both Brady and the Patriots will be allowed to appeal the decisions. The Patriots first four regular season games of 2015 are against Pittsburgh, at Buffalo, versus Jacksonville, and at Dallas.
