04/27/2016 07:10 PM

The NFL draft starts Thursday night and one former University of Louisville star expected to be taken in the first round is defensive lineman Sheldon Rankins. The 6-foot-1, 299 lbs Georgia native showed versatility throughout his college career and was able to cause havoc all across the line of scrimmage. He is currently projected by NFL.com to be a first round pick, and as high as the 12th pick by the New Orleans Saints. He has interviewed with several teams, and even picked up some praise from the New York Giants.
