NCAA TOURNAMENT | Louisville Women Are Final Four Bound

In an Elite Eight match-up in the Lexington Regional, the Louisville Cardinals women’s basketball team (36-2) defeated the Beaver of Oregon State (26-8) 76-43 for a trip to the Final Four in Columbus, Oh.

Junior guard Asia Durr led all scorers with 18 points, four assists and five rebounds. Senior forward Myisha Hines-Allen finished with 16 points, three steals, two assists and three rebounds before fouling out of the game. Sophomore forward Sam Fuehring finished with 14 points, three blocks, four assists and five rebounds.

As a team, Louisville shot 49.2 percent from the field and went 9/25 from three-point range. They held Oregon State to just two field goals in the fourth quarter. The Beavers shot 38.5 percent from three and 34.9 percent from the field as a team.

The Cardinals will face the winner of three-seed UCLA and one-seed Mississippi State. They play at 7:30 p.m. eastern in Kansas City.
