The 2017 Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award Watch List was revealed on Wednesday.

Thirty of the nation’s top quarterbacks made the list for the award, which recognizes the country’s top quarterback.

There are two Bluegrass quarterbacks that were included on this year’s list, Louisville’s Lamar Jackson and Western Kentucky’s Mike White.

Jackson is coming off a successful 2016 campaign, in which he broke numerous records and received numerous awards.

Jackson, who won the Heisman Trophy and the ACC Player of the Year title during the 2016 season, passed for 3,543 yards last year and threw 30 touchdowns. He also rushed for 1,571 yards and scored 21 rushing touchdowns.

Meanwhile, White’s numbers were very impressive as well. The Hilltopper QB threw for 4,363 yards last season, along with 37 touchdown passes.

Other notable quarterbacks on the watch list include Ohio St.‘s J.T. Barrett, USC’s Sam Darnold, Florida St.‘s Deondre Francois and Oklahoma’s Baker Mayfield.

Three finalists for the O’Brien Award will be announced on November 20, with the award handed out to the winner on December 7.
