NCAA BASKETBALL | UK, UofL Each Ranked in Preseason AP Top 25

The Kentucky and Louisville men’s basketball teams are each ranked in the Preseason AP Top 25 Poll.

The poll, which was released on Wednesday, has the Wildcats as the No. 5 team in the country, while the Cardinals are listed as the No. 16 team in the country.

Duke is the No. 1 team in the poll, followed by Michigan St. (No. 2), Arizona (No. 3) and Kansas (No. 4).

Other notable teams in the poll include defending national champion North Carolina (No. 9), Cincinnati (No. 12), Notre Dame (No. 14), Xavier (No. 17) and Purdue (No. 20).

Kentucky will hit the floor next against Centre College on Friday at 7 p.m. ET inside Rupp Arena.

Meanwhile, UofL’s next exhibition game will take place Tuesday against Bellarmine. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. ET inside the KFC Yum! Center.
