NCAA BASKETBALL | Trio of Bluegrass Women's Teams Selected for NCAA Tournament

Three women’s college basketball teams from Kentucky are officially in the 2017 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament.

On Monday evening, the #13 Louisville Cardinals, #18 Kentucky Wildcats and WKU Lady Toppers each learned where they will play in the first round and who they will play in the first round.

Louisville will serve as a host for the first and second rounds of the bracket inside the Oklahoma City region.

The Cards will be a #4-seed and will play #13 Chattanooga on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. ET.

Immediately following that match-up, #5-seed Tennessee will play #12-seed Dayton.

The winner of those two games will face each other on Monday inside the KFC Yum! Center with a trip to the Sweet 16 on the line.

Meanwhile, Lexington will serve as a host for the first and second rounds of the bracket inside the Lexington region.

The Kentucky Wildcats will be a #4-seed and will play #13-seed Belmont on Friday at 12 p.m. ET.

Immediately following that match-up, #5-seed Ohio St. will play #12-seed Western Kentucky.

The winner of those two games will face each other on Sunday inside Memorial Coliseum with a trip to the Sweet 16 on the line.

The four #1-seeds in the overall bracket are UConn, Notre Dame, South Carolina and Baylor.
