Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell will take part in the 2018 NBA Slam Dunk Contest during NBA All-Star Weekend.

Mitchell replaces Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon who withdrew due to a hip injury.

Joining the former Louisville Cardinal in the contest will be the Indiana Pacers’ Victor Oladipo, the L.A. Lakers’ Larry Nance, Jr. and the Dallas Mavericks’ Dennis Smith, Jr.

This year’s dunk contest will take place Saturday, Feb. 17 at 8 p.m. ET inside Los Angeles’ STAPLES Center.

Mitchell is having a solid season for the Jazz. Mitchell is averaging 19.7 points per game, putting him in the conversation for NBA Rookie of the Year.
