NASCAR | KY Speedway Presents Token of Appreciation to Dale Jr.

07/07/2017 02:42 PM

Earlier this year, Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series driver Dale Earnhardt, Jr. announced that he would retire from NASCAR’s top series after the 2017 season.

As a result, Saturday’s Quaker State 400 at Kentucky Speedway will likely be Earnhardt, Jr.’s last race at the track in the MENCS.

Because this will likely be his final race, Kentucky Speedway gave Earnhardt, Jr. a jukebox to show its appreciation for what he has done for the sport.

“Thanks for what you (Earnhardt, Jr.) do for our industry,” said Kentucky Speedway general manager Mark Simendinger.

The jukebox features Earnhardt, Jr.‘s signature and the Nationwide Children’s logo.

It will be given to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Oh.

“That’s awesome because I know the kids are going to love it,” said Earnhardt, Jr. “We got them a little stereo, but this is going to take the cake.”
