NASCAR | Kentucky Speedway Hosts Media Luncheon in Louisville

Kentucky Speedway held its southern media luncheon in Louisville on Thursday afternoon.

Those who addressed the media included track general manager Mark Simendinger, former NASCAR driver and current ESPN analyst Ricky Craven and current NASCAR Camping World Series truck driver and Louisville native Ben Rhodes.

Track officials announced at the event that the grandstands will be smoke-free beginning this year. The policy “applies to all seating areas, including suites, clubs and terrace boxes.”

Track officials also revealed that the Speedway will host a a birthday celebration for Richard Petty on Saturday, July 8 at 2:00 p.m. ET. Petty turns 80 years old earlier that week.

Besides all the off-the-track news, officials are also excited about the racing this year at Kentucky Speedway.
