07/03/2017 12:21 PM

Ben Rhodes is getting ready to race in Thursday night’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Buckle Up In Your Truck 225 at Kentucky Speedway.

The Louisville native is hoping to get his first-career NASCAR victory.

Rhodes is currently fifth in the NCWTS standings, 123 points behind point standings leader Johnny Sauter.

Rhodes has found a lot of success this year, finishing in the “Top 5” three times, while finishing in the “Top 10” five times.

Spectrum News’ Andrew Chernoff caught up with Rhodes at Saturday’s Louisville City FC match against Ottawa Fury FC. He spoke with Rhodes about the upcoming week:

Rhodes was at the LouCity FC match to help promote the races at Kentucky Speedway and to flip the coin for the pregame coin toss. Rhodes will be sporting the LCFC shield on his car during Thursday night’s race.
