More excitement during day two of the Boys Sweet 16

It has been a drama filled KHSAA Basketball Tournament at the boys sweet 16. Day two provided more excitement, especially in the second game of the day as South Laurel beat Christian County 53-50 in a game featuring 13 lead changes.

In the opener, former UofL star Tony Williams led his Doss High Dragons to a 66-57 victory over Lawrence County. Jaylon Hall finished with a game high 23 points and five rebounds.’s Jason Alexander joins us to give us his analysis of the Sweet 16 action.

Thursday night late action included Taylor County pounding 94-65 behind Xavier commit Quentin Goodin’s 28 points. The final game of the evening has South Oldham defeating Owensboro Catholic 58-34.

So Friday’s second round schedule looks like this:
(All games at Rupp Arena)
Noon: Murray vs Newport Central Catholic
1:30pm: Dunbar vs Bowling Green
(Winners meet Saturday at 6:30pm)

6:30pm: Doss vs Taylor County
8pm: South Laurel vs South Oldham
(Winners meet Saturday at 8pm)

Sunday’s State championship game is at 2pm
