After starting the game strong, Memphis saved their most dominant run for the end in their 71-66 upset of No. 7 Louisville. UofL got their first lead over No. 21 Memphis in second half on a Chris Jones jumper, the only basket the Memphis-native made all game. Jones ended the game with 3 points, 1 assist and 2 steals. The Cards got their largest lead on a Montrezl Harrell dunk from Stephan Van Treese, putting Louisville up 65-57 with 4:47 left in the game. After that, it was all Memphis as the Tigers closed out the game with a 15-1 run to complete the season sweep of the Cards.

Montrezl Harrell scored a career-high 25 points while grabbing 12 rebounds for his eighth double-double of the year. Russ Smith added another 19 points and 5 assists. Luke Hancock was the only other Card in double digits with 11 points.

With the loss, Louisville falls to 24-5 on the season. The Cards next play No. 23 SMU on Wednesday.
