The Louisville Men’s basketball team’s 2017 recruiting classes is one of the best ever under head coach Rick Pitino, and that is according to Rick Pitino.

Darius Perry is one of the top-15 point guards in the nation according to ESPN. Jordan Nwora is 6-foot-8 and and was recruited for having an impressive 3-point shot. Then there is Lance Thomas who stands 6-foot-10 and is expected to develop into another promising front court player. But the highest rated recruit in the class is 6-foot-11 center/forward Malik Williams.

Williams is the most polished player in the group, and excels on both sides of the ball. He is a top-25 player in the nation according to 247Sports, and picked Louisville over dozens of other top-level programs.

We had an exclusive opportunity to talk with Williams about his decision to become a Cardinal, and he said he felt at home there, and plans to fit nicely into Rick Pitino’s defensive minded system.
