Through five weeks of the high school football season, many teams remain unscathed and others still have high hopes along with championship aspirations.

While the playoffs are a long way off, these mid-season games might go a long way towards determining seeding, building confidence or any number of other factors.

Among this weeks storylines are Trinity hosting a Florida power school by the name of Cocoa, Bowling Green’s 48-game winning streak being put to a test by McCallie from Chattanooga, and a rivalry game between North and South Oldham.

The Courier-Journal’s Jason Frakes joined cn|2 Sports to break down this week’s showdowns and unveil his latest top-5 rankings.
