Junior Flemmings had a goal and assist as Louisville City dropped it’s home opener to New York 2-0. The disappointing result came in front of a big crowd of 7,522 fans at Slugger Field.
The Red Bulls II took the lead about 30 minutes in when Flemmings grabbed a rebound off a save by Louisville Goalie Scott Goodwin. Flemmings put the ball in the back of the net. Brandon Allen sealed things for New York with a second half goal with about 11 minutes left.
This is the third straight time the Red Bulls have defeated Lou City, having swept Louisville last year in a pair of games. The loss drops Louisville to 1-1 on the season, while New York improves to 1-0-1. Louisville tries again for its first home win on Saturday April 9th, when Orlando comes in for the 7:30pm game.
