LOUISVILLE CITY FC | Scott Goodwin sendoff will feature fireworks

07/03/2016 11:22 AM

Louisville City FC is halfway through their second season, and the man who has protected the home goal for the better part of a year and a half has been Scott Goodwin. But Louisville City’s July 4th game against FC Montreal will be the last time Goodwin straps on the goalie gloves for the purple and gold.

Goodwin is heading to Boston to enroll in Harvard Medical School, and is retiring from professional soccer. But his final match for Louisville will have an adequate sendoff that features fourth of July fireworks. In his pregame press conference, Scott offered his thoughts about the support he has seen over the past two seasons.
