LOUISVILLE CITY FC | Moving Forward without James O'Connor

07/05/2018 03:29 PM

Louisville City FC has had a crazy couple of weeks to say the least.

The Boys in Purple have played four matches since June 20, have broke ground on their new soccer-specific stadium in Butchertown and have lost head coach James O’Connor to Major League Soccer’s Orlando City SC.

As soon as it was announced O’Connor was leaving, LCFC revealed that players George Davis IV, Paolo DelPiccolo and Luke Spencer would serve as joint interim head coaches moving forward while also continuing their role as players.

Spencer stopped by Spectrum News on Thursday and spoke with Andrew Chernoff about what it’s like in his new position with the club:

LouCity FC takes on Tampa Bay Rowdies Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET in St. Petersburg, Fla. LCFC already beat Tampa Bay 1-0 in late March.
