LOUISVILLE CITY FC | Louisville Mayor Excited about Stadium Project Vote

10/27/2017 01:16 PM

Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer is pleased with the Louisville Metro Council’s decision to partially fund the LouCity FC stadium project.

On Thursday night, the Council voted to approve a $30 million bond that would partially fund the project in the city’s Butchertown neighborhood.

“All kinds of people came together to make it a really good package,” said Fischer.

In April, LCFC announced its plans to build a soccer-specific stadium in the Butchertown neighborhood.

The club says the 10,000 seat stadium would be ready in time for the 2020 season.
