LOUISVILLE CITY FC | Coopers Hosting Rally Thursday for Proposed New Stadium

While Louisville City FC is preparing for its upcoming match against St. Louis FC, the club’s largest supporters group, the Louisville Coopers, are holding a rally for fans Thursday night.

The rally is to celebrate the club’s proposed new stadium in the Butchertown neighborhood in Louisville.

The free “Paint Butchertown Purple” event will begin at 7:30 p.m. ET Thursday at Copper & Kings.

Coopers’ president Tom Farmer spoke with Spectrum News’ Andrew Chernoff about the rally, which is being organized by the Coopers and the Butchertown Neighborhood Association:

Earlier this year, LouCity FC unveiled plans for a new, soccer-specific stadium in the Butchertown neighborhood. According to the club’s plan, LCFC would begin playing in the new stadium in time for the 2020 season.
