LOUISVILLE CITY FC | Boys in Purple Only USL Club Remaining in 2018 U.S. Open Cup

06/21/2018 12:10 PM

Louisville City FC will be playing with a sense of pride throughout the rest of the 2018 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup as it is the lone remaining USL club alive in the tournament.

The Boys in Purple beat Nashville SC 2-1 on Wednesday night to punch their ticket to the tournament’s quarterfinals.

Next up for LouCity in the event is a road match at Chicago Fire, which is set for Wednesday, July 18 at 8:30 p.m. ET inside Toyota Park.

LCFC had a previously scheduled USL home match against Toronto FC II that evening, but that will now be rescheduled to a date and time to be determined.
