Louisville Basketball falls to Puerto Rico again

08/12/2015 10:02 PM

After a pair of losses last night to the Puerto Rican national teams, the Cardinals shot at redemption this evening also fell short. In the first game of the evening, the Puerto Rico junior team edged out the Louisville B squad with a score of 79-77. Raymond Spalding shot 70 percent from the field, and led the cards in scoring with 19 points.

In the second game of the evening, the cards failed to gain any momentum and trailed almost the entire game. The Rick Pitino coached Puerto Rico national team took advantage of Louisville’s tired legs and jumped out to 69-37 lead after 3 quarters. A defeated Louisville team managed 25 points in the fourth quarter but lost to the final tune of 96-62. Only two cardinals scored in double digits.

Now 0-4 on the series, the next game against the Puerto Rico National Team will be August 13 at 8:00 pm.
