Louisville baseball rolls over Kansas 6-3

The Cards wasted no time putting away the Kansas Jayhawks in the second game of the Louisville Regional. Through four innings, UofL built a 5-0 lead, and Kansas couldn’t close the gap despite a late push.
Junior infielder Sutton Whiting had two runs and two RBI as the Cards most productive player on offense. Right handed pitcher Anthony Kidston got the win for the Cards, giving up five hits and two runs over seven innings while striking out six Jayhawks.
The Cards will have to wait to find out their next opponent. Kentucky eliminated Kent State from the tournament on Saturday with a 4-2 win. Surviving in the loser’s bracket, the Wildcats will get a rematch with Kansas Sunday at noon, and the winner of that game will move on to play Louisville at 4 p.m. ET. If the Cards lose that game, UofL will force a Monday game that will decide who survives and advances from the Louisville Regional.
