Louisville City FC is one more game closer to advancing to the USL Championship.

LouCity beat the Charleston Battery 1-0 Saturday night at Slugger Field in the Eastern Conference Semifinal Round of the playoffs.

This playoff game, the host team did not need extra time to get the victory. Instead, Kadeem Dacres’ 53rd-minute goal proved to be the difference for LCFC. It was Dacres’ third goal of the season.

LouCity out-shot Charleston 14-9 during the game.

Next up for the Eastern Conference’s No. 2 seed is the No. 1 seed in the East, New York Red Bulls II.

LouCity will face New York Sunday, October 16th at Red Bull Arena. The Eastern Conference Final match-up is set to kick-off at 6:30 p.m. that evening.
