Lafayette High School To Hold Vigil for Trinity Gay

Lafayette High School will be hosting a vigil for student Trinity Gay on Monday at 8:00 p.m. ET at Lexington High School.
The vigil will take place right after Monday’s freshman football game.
Fifteen-year-old student Trinity Gay, was shot early Sunday morning near a Lexington Cook Out restaurant on South Broadway. Police say she was shot in the neck as cars were exchanging gunfire. According to witnesses, Gay was not in any of the cars.
She was pronounced dead a short time later.
Gay, the daughter of U.S. Olympian track star Tyson Gay, was a member of the Lafayette track team.
Three men have been charged with wanton endangerment in connection with Gay’s death.
Dvonta Middlebrooks, 21, was charged with wanton endangerment and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Meanwhile, Chazerae Taylor, 38, and D’markeo Taylor, 19, were charged with wanton endagerment. Those two individuals are father and son.
