For the first time since undergoing multiple brain surgeries and being in a medically induced coma, former U of L basketball star Kyle Kuric has left the Barcelona hospital where he was receiving treatment.
Kuric went to a Spanish hospital earlier this month suffering from migraines. He was then diagnosed with a benign brain tumor, and underwent multiple surgeries. The first surgery removed the tumor, the second was to alleviate swelling that resulted from the first operation. He was then placed in a medically induced coma.
Kuric is now out of the hospital and hopes to return to his team in the new year. He will undergo one more surgery to place a metal plate in his skull in December.
