Abel Tasman got off to a slow start on a sloppy track at Churchill Downs before a late charge saw the 9-1 filly draw clear in the stretch and take the 143rd running of the Kentucky Oaks by 1 1/4 length over 12-1 Daddy’s Little Darling.

Abel Tasman paid $20.40, $9.20 and $6.40 The exacta paid $ 203.00.
