Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington has been named as one of just two candidates currently being considered to host the 20-22 World Equestrian Games.
The governing body is also considering Samorin, Slovakia as a host site and will conduct site visits between January and May before making its final decision next fall. If selected, it would not be Kentucky Horse Park’s first time hosting. The last time was back in 2010 when the park became the first venue outside of Europe to do so. The Governor’s Office says the Games contributed more than $201.5 million to the Kentucky economy.
