KENTUCKY DERBY | Kentucky Derby Museum Breaks Ground on Expansion Project

The Kentucky Derby Museum broke ground on a multi-million dollar expansion project on Monday morning.

The $6.5 million project will add over 11,000 square feet of new space to the Museum. In addition, 5,000 square feet of existing will be renovated.

The Kentucky Derby Museum expansion project is supposed to “provide a greater visitor experience for guests with an emphasis on new exhibit space, featuring the collection of legendary trainer, D. Wayne Lukas.”

The Museum will remain open to visitors during work on the expansion project.
