It was another full day in the convoluted scandal of Katina Powell, self proclaimed “escort queen,” who alleges she was paid to provide strippers and escorts to former UofL basketball players and recruits by former Director of Basketball Operations Andre Mcgee.
Without naming their sources, ESPN reported the NCAA has begun the process of interviewing members of the Louisville basketball program.
The investigators on campus coincides with University president James Ramsey releasing a letter to all Louisville students.
UofL Athletics spokesman Kenny Klein said the school could not confirm ESPN’s report, saying it “could not comment” on the ongoing investigations.
Someone who did decide to comment on the scandal was Katina Powell’s attorney Larry Wilder. Wilder joined ESPN 680’s Jason Anderson for an interview, during which he said Powell would not cooperate with university or NCAA investigations without guaranteed immunity from prosecution.
