IRONMAN | Allison Brown is part of a group competing for more than bragging rights

The Louisville Ironman is 2.4 miles of swimming, 112 miles of biking, capped off with a full marathon. It takes months of preparation for such a physically demanding feat, and having the proper motivation is crucial to reaching the finish line.

One group you will be able to spot on the Ironman route is Team in Training. A fundraising initiative part of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. They will be decked out in purple and would be more than happy to tell you exactly what motivates them to endure this physical strains of an Ironman.

One member of Team in Training that will be on the course this Sunday is Allison Brown. cn|2 Sports talked with her about her story and why the fundraising efforts of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society are so important to her.
